Horizon 2020 delivering smart, green, safe and competitive waterborne transport

The waterborne industry plays an essential role in global and European trade and economy. With the Horizon 2020 framework programme, the European Commission committed to contribute to an innovative waterborne sector. The goal is to ensure a European transport system that is resource-efficient, environmentally-friendly, safe and seamless for the benefit of all citizens, the economy and society.

Today, the Waterborne Transport Workshop presents the results of seven years of European Comission's investments in research and innovation towards smart, green and integrated waterborne transport, in the framework of Horizon 2020 through more than 56 H2020-funded projects.
