The Department of Maritime Studies, founded in 1989, has built a strong reputation over three decades, producing nearly 6000 graduates who are now integral to the global maritime industry. The department is dedicated to delivering top-tier education and cutting-edge research, with a mission to shape the future of shipping and maritime transport. Impressively, 60% of its graduates immediately transition into influential roles in the shipping sector, while 40% pursue advanced degrees, further enriching their education.

Among the Department’s offerings is the flagship M.Sc. in Shipping, established in 2002. The program, supported by the Department’s Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory, combines rigorous academic training with real-world research, ensuring students are well-prepared to tackle the challenges of today’s maritime landscape.
