UCL Mechanical Engineering's marine research group is actively supporting the Waterborne sector through reserach including:
- low carbon shipping;
- offshore energy technologies;
- warship and submarine design methodologies;
- high performance computations applied to challenges in the marine sector;
- safe Arctic shipping;
- autonomous systems - surface and underwater;
- novel marine coatings
- marine power systems.
The marine research group also delivers postgraduate programmes on Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering and Submarine Design & Acquisition.
