Groupement des Industries de Construction et Activités Navales
GICAN, the French maritime industry association, is the trade association for over 300 manufacturers and organizations in the French maritime sector. It brings together shipyards, systems manufacturers, equipment suppliers, subcontractors, engineering companies, naval architects, the naval aviation industry, as well as companies and organizations from the maritime ecosystem.
We promote and structure R&D and innovation within the French maritime industry through technological roadmaps, technical workshops and consortium supports. We target start-up acceleration through our SEAstart program.
The vocation of the association is to defend the interests of its members towards the France government and European institutions, to promote their know-how and collaboration at the international stage and lead its network of members.
The GICAN also organizes the Euronaval and Euromaritime exhibitions.
