MESA’s third e-Maritime workshop on “The Connected Port” was held on 27 January 2016 at Valenciaport Foundation, Valencia, Spain.

The main objective of the workshop was to develop an overview of information exchange and interoperability issues related to the concept of “The Connected Port”, its current technological development, the expected benefits, and future research needs. The workshop included presentations on the Internet of the seas and the Sea Traffic Management projects.  

Attendees included representatives from Port Authorities and Associations, Research Organisations, contacts in the Maritime industry and Agencies, representatives of National Administrations and experts in Universities.
